Hollywood is in love with 3D, but what about the rest of us? As filmmakers and creators seek to enrich audiences with both depth and complexity, a new generation of head-mounted displays are allowing users to experience immersive, stereoscopic content in ways that were previously only possible with bulky, cumbersome 3D headsets. The trend is most pronounced with projectors that create polarized light, which then illuminate adjacent pixels. The most widely-used commercial 3D display uses the same technology as movie theaters, where active shutter glasses create the illusion of depth by alternating which pixels are illuminated. But movies require time to change the image, creating a distracting, jerky effect. Consumer-oriented 3D displays are often tuned for gaming, but their success depends on eye-strain and headaches for the user, as well as a restricted field of view. These limitations, which are inherent to the technology, have discouraged the development of immersive, untethered, consumer-oriented displays that can be worn comfortably for long periods of time. “We believe that head-mounted displays will transform the way people interact with computers and the way people work,” says Zach Marr, CEO of Vuzix. “We’ve developed a high-end solution for a high-end market. This will not be cheap, but it will be much more comfortable and affordable than current solutions.” Developed by Vuzix, Inc., Vuzix One is the first consumer-oriented, head-mounted display that uses the “active shutter” 3D system. The result is a head-mounted 3D projector that can be worn comfortably for long periods of time. This approach uses a single display, project Font Tap The Compact Runtime, the main executable of another installation for Fusion 360, adds a feature to the Add-on Manager where you can access an extensive archive of ready-to-use resources. Not only this, but you will be able to access a wide variety of items in a single place, all of them being organized in various categories. Also, by clicking the Button Tools you will be able to access the application menu, system commands, show active and compatible tasks, etc. That being said, the original aim of this article is to introduce all the resources in the Add-on Manager. To that end, we’ll begin with the items in the folder located in the main directory. Items in the main directory By clicking the Menu File you can access the items available in the main directory. Once again, all the resources have been placed in subfolders, following the same tree structure used in the Add-on Manager.
